To my Canadian friends....Jade.com sold for 1.25M in 2016, and while it was a "Private Sale", the domain forwards to JadeMineResources.com, or what appears to be a jade mine in British Columbia that's out of business.

Why do i care? I care because i happen to own the domain QualityJade(.)com, and I'd like to refer to this sale when marketing my domain to an "end user"

If anyone is interested QualityJade.ca is for sale at GD for $2.66. Realizing that two heads are better than one, anyone interested in working with me just let me know. Thanks
 
There are numerous possible words to add in front of Jade.

First you have to ask is there really a better quality jade?
Quality is a really awkward word to add to a domain and not one I would seek out for my portfolio.

Example lets take two items, shoes and cars and add the word quality in front of them.
They are far more common than jade so the domains must be worth big bucks right?

Right?
 
I'm not sure I agree.....things like precious stones and coins are ranked/scored by their "quality".

quality definition; the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.

synonyms:
excellence · superiority · merit · worth · value · virtue · caliber
 
I'm not really looking for a "better" match but rather someone from BC or Vancouver who knows something/anything about jade or the jade mining industry.

with Jade.com selling for 1.25M I was hoping to start a discussion. Go to jadestore.com to get a feel for what I'm referencing.

That and similar domains like shopjade.com are super domains, whereas qualityjade.com is just ok.

voice.com sold for a fortune so qualityvoice.com should be worth a fortune too according to your logic.
 
QualityVoice and QualityJade don't compare....you don't sell voices. I also picked up QualityJade.online because most jewelry is actually sold "online" today. As for the word "Quality" a friend of mine owns TheQualityShops(.)com....been in business since 1917. Imagine his surprise when he learns i bought QualityShop.online to give to him.

btw, did I say anything about QualityJade.com being worth a fortune or did you just assume that?

Thanks for your input about the name, but if you have any creative ideas for how to market it let me know.

yeah - people kinda jumped on you for that, not sure why, its not like you said you were asking a million bucks. I think its good and if I owned it, I'd be happy to have it, especially since its .com.

considering there are more than 500 .CA domains I'm aware of that use the word "jade" and that most of them are 2 or 3 word variations, even the .ca isn't exactly horrible and better than most that are already registered.
 
At first glance I didn’t think much of it. After doing a little bit of research it’s actually a decent name. It’s no different than qualitygold.com or qualitycoral.com.

Although I think quality gold doesn’t work as well as quality jade. Good luck with the name.
