Just turned down a $10MM opening offer for one of my company's domain (1 Viewing)

And Facebook/Meta marketcap today is just under $1 Trillion.

So that clip about a Billion dollars isn't even cool anymore.

Probably will come with an nda

After further analysis, I've determined that the offer was FRAUDULENT. The domain that sent the offer was a typosquatted version of a real company (changing an 'i" to a "l" to make it seem it came from a VC).

Not sure what their end game was, since my deals go through lawyers.

I've reported the relevant domain name to the abuse department of the relevant registrar, to get it shut down.

Bummer. Thanks for the update though.

Scammers are upping their game....I'm quite vigilant, so if it could temporarily fool me, a lot of other folks would be completely fooled by their scam.

I don't want to give tips that would help scammers improve their "pitch" even more, but one should definitely examine email headers carefully, and check anything that looks suspicious via WHOIS, phone calls, and other methods.
