Move date Siber to WHC changed to June 1 (1.Viewing)

Everything seems good on my end. Had xxx amount of names at Siber and everyone transferred over without a glitch it seems.

Quick question:

There are different renewal time limits and fee structures on WHC as opposed to Siber, such as 30 days renewal grace before $80 in fees at WHC compared to 35 days grace and a $35 fee at Siber, so how is this going to work going forward?

Everything came through for me at 1:20 pm

Comes with a free gift...

Just received my email - had XXX domains at Siber and seemingly have XXX domains at WHC.

So far so good...

A domain I purchased last year and it does not matter if I use the profile settings or I make a manual change I keep getting this error.

I am trying to change my business name from MapleDots to MapleDots.ca

Can anyone else change their domain data?

This domain was transferred from Sibername today.

I should mention just as a heads up that all of my domains arrived unlocked so that might be something to update if you want your domains locked

This doesn't reflect the registry status, the domains remained locked, just the management system doesn't know about it yet, as we didn't sync every domain with the registry at this point.

At this point, it doesn't look like we'll be able to import these, but we're planning on having them available for you to download on the Sibername system for a while.

Good question, for now the WHC terms and fees will apply, but I'm planning on improving that as soon as I can get to it.

It looks like there is currently an issue with changing the registrant data, we're looking into this. For now please open a support ticket, they should be able to change it for you.

No problems, I was just checking if it was only on my account or with the system in general.

I will try again in a few days.

FYI, I'm also still finding that if I order a list of tbr domains, then enter my credit card, etc. it seems to work fine, but then I go back and they're all still in my cart. And after I submitted my order, I got an error message. It placed the order as I did receive all the emails saying it was backordered, but of course when I get an error like that, then you're like wtf? did it go through? did it not? then I waste a bunch of time checking every single domain.

And to add insult to injury - then you spam me about my abandoned cart - but not until 12:00 PDT when even if I _had_ accidentally abandoned the cart, it would've been too late to do anything about it.

Error msg:

WISHLIST:

1. no need to send an email for every darn domain - please just a single email summary!
2. knock off the cart abandoned email stuff, or at least let me opt out.
3. fix the issue with submitting an order but not removing the successful orders from my cart.
4. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD add some real bulk domain management tools. I need to be able to paste in a list of domains and then work on those domains to do things like renewals, change of nameservers, change of registrants, request auth codes, pretty much any functionality should be supported. The checkbox stuff is fine for a handful of domains and that's about it.
5. Oh, and add the assign nameserver option to the 'claim' functionality too!

One question:

I made a small mistake in my Proxy Bid, but the WHC system won't let me correct it and requires that I move up another bid increment (on top of my proxy) in order to change my proxy. Like if I wanted to bid $76 and set the proxy at $71 instead (and the current bid is $35) - it's forcing me to bid $71 + a full bid increment in order to raise it.

That's not how it's supposed to work when the current bid is still well below my current proxy bid...

Thank you for the feedback and the bug report.

I'll look into this, I understand this can be frustrating.

There should be a opt-out in the email, but we should be excluding backorders from that sequence. I've created a task to get this done.

Normally this should work and was also tested. I'll reach out to you for some details to better understand why this is happening. Is this happening for others, too?

It's on our feature wishlist going forward, too.

Frank just so you know...

If I leave the browser tab open for my WHC control panel and come back to it an hour later it turns to french when I click any link. Then I have to re-specify my language. Once I do that it holds unless I leave the tab open for an hour or so.

Just wanted to pop in and thank everyone that's taken the time to provide feedback and suggestions following Sibername's transition into WHC. Our DevOps team has been hard at work getting us to this point and we carefully review and consider every incoming suggestion, feature request and bug report so we can just keep making things better, especially following an important transition like this one. Feel free to poke [notify]FM[/notify] or I on here if there's anything that needs our close attention, otherwise reach out to our chat support on whc.ca for immediate assistance.

If I remember correctly, this is how we designed it, but what you're saying makes sense. I'll see how we can change that in the future.

Official renewal dates in whois will be correct and unaffected by the move. However, it is certainly possible that WHC has not properly synched the renewal dates into their interface. I've seen that before.
