Epik has had a bit of a bad rep from some online communities as being “far right wing”. I believe a lot of that comes from when Gab.com made the switch over from GD to Epik amongst other things.
I personally like epik. A few of my top .ca’s are there and their customer service is wonderful.

So apparently Masterbucks is now charging a substantial withdrawal fee.
If they are going to become a service similar to paypal they will have to charge a fee irregardless of how many people complain.
The only bad thing about all this is they gave no prior warning and shut the system down while they implemented the changes. They should have announced the change effective on a particular date and allowed people to withdraw funds for free until then.
Hell of a mess at the moment and it's not creating a fan base.

Gab was a bad look but they seem to gravitate towards most/any extreme far-right garbage, which doesn't impress me at all.

For the record, I don't dislike Epik as a domain registrar for domain investors either.... and Rob is essentially always nothing but polite and professional even when people are cursing him out (although that's probably strategic)... but it's a weird angle for them to take on such controversial websites that only shed a terrible light on them. It's not exactly trivial stuff either when it comes to hate crimes/massacres, and even their wikipedia page alone reads like a horror story.
All that said, I was still hoping their masterbucks would become a serious competitor to paypal. The more options the better.
