I developed priide.ca as a show site to demonstrate how it could be used for an end user.

It took me a few days to get the feel and look of the site where I wanted it but I think it's taking shape.

Does anyone have any design critique?

I was reading my google feed this morning and came across this interesting article.

A photographic history of men in love

An image believed to be from the turn of the 20th century.
Same-sex marriage was legalized in the United States more than 100 years later.

Now as a lot of you know, I am married with children but I often wonder how would I react if one of my children came out as gay? Even though it does not look like that is the case it made me realize long ago that we have no choice but to accept how people decide to spend their lives.

It originally made me think of the priide idea

I was using this as my pride slogo...

and this to justify the acronym....

I was talking to a broker about this and she told me that the concept, idea and everything was excellent except for the fact that the acronym is too complex. She said I had the right idea about put the (i) in priide but I needed to get across the point of what the i stood for.

So I came up with Pride inclusive = Priide

I will be renaming the website to Priide inclusive

As someone not well versed in the acronyms I often confuse LGTBQ+ and will often write it as LBTGQ+ and I am sure a lot of people do as well. Then something else comes along and we may have to add a T. Where will it all end?

How about Priide Inclusive? - The extra i is inclusive of everyone.

From all the domains I own, this one stirs a passion in me like no other. I think it has such massive potential and it is one of the rare times almost all extensions are available at for the same purpose. I had to spend some good coin to gather them up.

So what do you guys think of Priide?

I do get where you are trying to go but I just think it would take some serious marketing to make people aware of it’s spelling and acronym meaning.
It doesn’t pass the “radio” test and people would have to be educated as to what the acronym means so I think it would be tricky to not lose traffic to the .ca “pride” spelling.
