Register your .CA domain name | Rebel.com

Limit of 20 names. I was able to register 10 early on without any issues, but in trying to register the last 10 names I'm not getting the discount applied at all. Apparently there has been some escalation on my ticket, but no luck so far

I also had problems that if I tried to reg more than 3 or 4 at a time, it would lock my account for "fraud protection". Wasted a lot of time dealing with support over it. They also turned on 2-factor authentication on my account with no notice, and it was sending text messages to my business land line, which weren't going through. Major cluster. In any case, if anyone sees they get locked out of their account, once you get back in, don't try to reg more than 3 or 4 domains at a time or it'll restart the whole lockout procedure.

I found Rebel too cumbersome to use, I gave up on them a while back.

I may check them out again but from what I hear I probably made the right decision.

Same here, but a $2.99 sale a couple times per year is hard to ignore :)

I got all of that too. Just after I posted this thread, the manually pushed through my order and applied $8 discounts to all my names to get me down to $2.99 per domain. But they used an old search/cart that I emptied. So I had to work with support to reverse the registrations and issue a refund. Then they manually registered my current cart

Took a while, but it's finally done as of a few minutes ago

Great customer service, but it's been a crap show the whole way

yeah, in the middle of going through that process they turned on 2FA on all accounts without warning, which really made a bigger mess. Even my support person was PO'd about it as they didn't get notification either. Some poor management decisions there at Rebel these days. But apparently they are seriously concerned about fraud so I can only assume that there is some large amount of fraud getting through. But what I don't understand is what kind of fraud can there be that they need to restrict bulk domain purchases to 3 of 4 domains at a time. Maybe people are using stolen credit cards to register shitloads of domains, then try to quickly sell or "taste" the traffic?? Just seems like a bizarre and pointless way of attempting credit card fraud. You'd think they'd make more just filling up a tank of gas with the tap feature!
