RedGrass.com: Complainant slapped with Reverse Domain Name Hijacking

The domain RedGrass.com was registered in 1999 and 23 years later a UDRP was filed against it by Redgrass SA, Switzerland.

The Complainant failed to come to an agreement to acquire the domain and then filed a UDRP; this constitutes an act of engaging in a “Plan B” approach. The domain’s registrant and Respondent in this case is Huge Domains.

The three member panel at the WIPO ordered the domain RedGrass.com to remain with the Respondent. They also delivered a finding of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking (RDNH.) One panelist provided an enhanced “3 out of 3” response, stating that the domain’s “for sale” use constitutes fair use.
