Saved Drafts

I was wondering how saved drafts work with the new software @MapleDots?

I've already used the "save draft" function, and noticed how drafts would remain/be saved within the topic where you started the draft, but it seems like they're only saved for a short duration of time before they disappear? Or is there a specific place to find them all listed somewhere?

OK, so I checked into this...

Drafts are automatically saved every 60 seconds unless you hit the save icon in your reply box in which case it saves it immediately.

Drafts are system set to save for 48 hours and I just changed that to 2,160 hours, which is the equivalent to 3 months.

I can set this to any amount so the other option is 8,760 hours which would equate to 1 year.

So to review, it was set to 2 days, now changed to 90 days, but I can change it to a year if members want it.

Thanks for the detailed response. I'm good with 90 days myself.

Are saved drafts considered secure/private? I believe i remember you and RLM explaining to me how there could be privacy concerns with drafts, and how staff at another popular forum could/would access old drafts that you ultimately deleted or decided not to post in the end.

In any event, I'm not concerned about it and would rather have a save draft function than not.

The other forum has custom software installed that allows them to invade members privacy.

We respect each member's privacy, your drafts are secure and only accessible to you.
