Hello,

I am trying to get the owner of the domain name shift.ca. Anyone knows who owns it?

Just so members know, I chatted with bonsukjoshua on twitter and the above whois leads to a dead end.

Afternic shows Frank Shilling as the owner but doubtful that is accurate.

I could be mistaken but haven’t a bunch of great “Oliver Twist” .ca domains expired in the past?

You are aware you need to be a Canadian citizen or have a Canadian presence to have a .ca right?

Yes I am aware. I'm trying to acquire it for a client

Oliver Twist was a pseudonym/company name for a Canadian investor in Ottawa, and I knew his name at one point, but I can't recall it right now.

In fact, I thought he was out of domaining (most of his stuff dropped long ago).

The WHOIS states the contact name is Rob Villeneuve but I'm not sure if that's right. It also might be the Rob Villeneuve that was a player in the domain business long ago:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/robvilleneuve

It never hurts to send a message through LinkedIn...

Yeah, Kyle Rocheleau - that's his name.

The address is a postal box at UPS I believe (I looked it up long ago) so that will do you no good.

But like I said, I have no idea if he's still in the game as most of his domain dropped and someone else *may* have bought the top ones in bulk and left the WHOIS as-is.

Thanks for this. I'd try this out immediately

Also, take a look at the Kyle Rocheleau info as well.

I think Kyle is connected to rebel.com

He was, but I don't think he is anymore - same with Rob, who used to be Rebel CEO.

From this, it sounds like Oliver Twist Domains was a two-headed beast comprised of a pair of top Rebel executives.

These short one word .ca's continue to kill it.

Yep, my $20 GD inbox is really filling up today.
