Still not sure how $100 looks like $100K but I guess it was an honest mistake.

Does this happen often?

What a wonderful post

The buyer contacts Dan and said they made a mistake and nobody pounces on him.

Dan notifies the domain owner and all is settled like gentlemen.

Trying to force a sale is never the answer and I appreciate how Dan handled that.

I agree. Dan was very professional about it. His initial offer was $100 so my counter was $100K which apparently he thought was $100. Sometimes you just click “accept/acknowledge” without seeing what you’re doing.

Antoine (whomever he is) was also very quick to notify DAN of their mistake which is great since it doesn’t tie up the domain.

Until the money is in the bank I don’t trust any offers; even if accepted.

Experiences like this suck.

Just as a note - the notation for numbers differs quite a bit from country to country - in some cases the "," separates the pennies and in others the ".". Not saying this was the case here, but I've seen misunderstandings based on that before. Of course that there were 3 digits after the comma should have been a hint.
