I punched in a domain to see if I could buy it and this lander came up.

On the Whois form it gives a CIRA id as the owner and the typical godaddy dns servers so the domain is registered.

I might have to contact the owner via the cira form because other than the godaddy abuse email address there is nothing else present.

Ok so here goes again....

I get a Godaddy auction notification

I visit the domain ratecut.ca and get this whois error message

Been seeing the same landing page with the invalidwhois@godaddy.com email address numerous times and I cannot figure it out. This domain is even listed at auction. Again and again I see this error, something weird happening there.

I got their parking page with "Get This Domain" link to the auction when I visited the domain.

They're sending notification for auction expiry? I wonder if this makes end users hit the bin or make a bid.

So when I go incognito I get yours, when I use the regular chrome browser I get the error.

I figured it out... I get the error when I have an active godaddy cookie (as in I am logged in)

Over the years, I noticed Godaddy having "issues" with .ca's in their system. Offering .ca domains for registration that were already taken, probably when not signed in to gain a customer, and not removing expired listings still appearing as BIN premiums. And once tried to take back a freshly registered drop .ca domain because someone else already had it or paid for it, but Cira had me as the registered owner and calmed them down:)

If anyone has a godaddy parked page, please log into your godaddy account and then visit your parked page and you will get the graphic in post 1.

The graphic has a couple of very serious issues...

1. It implies the whois is invalid - which is totally bogus

2. The Godaddy graphic implies something is broken - which it is not.

So whenever another domainer hits your parked page and that domainer has an active godaddy cookie then to that domainer it looks like the domain has errors. As soon as you log out of godaddy the parked page displays properly.

To me it almost looks like there is something nefarious going on, like godaddy does not want to show the parking pages to domainers.

So far this week I have seen this error numerous times and I keep wondering if it is done on purpose.

I got notified on this domain again today and when not logged in I now see....

When logged in I see...

I like the godaddy page above when logged in, it tells domainers exactly what is happening and links directly to the auction
