Well - its a good start for keyword .coms with commercials for Apartments.com, Booking.com and Homes.com so far.

Used to be a fan, but it's so referee-orchestrated lately that it's no better than wrestling.

It's not the Chiefs vs the 49'ers it's the NFL pushing the refs to give KC the win and quickly manufacture another Tom Brady (and a new Giselle i.e. Taylor) while the billion dollar gambling industry pays the refs off to get a profitable result.

I don't see any way the NFL lets the 49ers win and creates a crying Taylor Swift on national TV and millions of angry Swifties, and even Drake (who always loses his bets) saw the scam and put $1.5 million on the Chiefs.

Ohhh, big surprise - the Chiefs win in overtime and the NFL ranks in billions over the season break. LOL

Now all we need is Taylor Swift getting her honorary Super Bowl ring! How sweet.

I didn't get the feeling the NFL wanted to make this about TS, they showed her a few times briefly but didn't say too much about it, this night shouldn't be about her or the other celebs in attendance

Saw a few of them and TS was not highlighted that much except after the winning and when the celebrations begun. That's to be expected I think.

Our children liked the half time show.. but not me.. I am too old for that kind of stuff I believe.. LOL

I guess you didn't watch the NFL or the playoffs before the SB, as Swift was covered very heavily during the prior games, which drove viewership to unheard of amounts, but also created backlash from longtime fans. There were even SNL skits about it and jokes made at sports awards shows.

So obviously (with the Swifties already in tow) the NFL toned down her in-game coverage for the big show, but that doesn't change their past behavior or obvious $$$ motivations. The world is so money-oriented (and gambling oriented) that it's turning virtually all sports into "entertainment" a la the WWE.

I almost expected Travis Kelce to get hurt, then at the last second, jump out of a wheelchair to win the game on a last-second TD. Or maybe have Fred Warner hit him with a chair. :ROFLMAO:

Nope, haven't watched any NFL since my shitty Bears' season ended until today.

And even today I spent most of the game on my laptop, only half watching while I attended to more important matters, like booking flights and planning details for our fall vacation!

I prefer watching NCAA football or basketball anyways. Barring an epic fail, my team will be making a long run in March/April this year.

Speaking of which - anyone have any advice for where to stay in Aruba and Curacao? We've never been there, its so far from BC that we tend to go to MX or Hawaii since its so much easier to get to from here. But I'm just sick of the usual places so we decided its worth the shitty flights with an overnight layover - just to try something different.

In punta cana right now so I can only check in once in a while.

It was a pretty good Superbowl, not that there were many highlight level plays, but just that the score was so close throughout the game, and it went to OT. I also like the new OT rules where each team gets to possess the ball, instead of first score wins. I hate blowout Superbowls where the score is like 35-3 near the start of the 3rd quarter.

There was one holding call against the 49ers, I forget exactly when, that was pretty weak. Otherwise the 49ers probably had the slight edge through most of the game, and could have won it in OT if they'd just played better D and not allow KC to march up the field for the winning TD. Mahomes wasn't brilliant all game, but when he needed to be he was. Got sacked more than I expected, but then also made a few good runs like he always does.

We just got back from Jamaica a little while ago, compared to that this place is way safer.

Mind you Aruba was the safest, but we liked Mexico and the Bahamas too. Myrtle Beach in South Carolina also felt quite safe.

Honestly. The only place I would not go back to is Jamaica. The resort was safe but we saw the first people lifting their shirts to show guns about 15 minutes into the city. I remember saying to myself I was a poor dad for bringing my kids there.

Yeah, I remember hearing the bad stories of Jamaica 30 years ago when a cousin went there for a honeymoon. But I'm looking forward to my first Caribbean trip. Aruba seems to be the least desirable of the ABC islands, but I figure since we're in the neighbourhood, we might as well just hit them all, going to do them in C-B-A order.

I’ve been to Jamaica half a dozen times in the last 10 years and it has been one of the best spots to vacation. It beats out Mexico and Dominican Republic any day of the week. The food is the best and you can’t go wrong with almost any resort you go to.

Unfortunately we went off resort and unless you know exactly what you are doing you can get into trouble fast.

Yeah I do hear good things about the food!
