Why in the world did flowr.ca get 5 bids on WHC? I know it has some backlinks, but this is getting kinda zany here and I wonder if we're going to see this go for $3K+ like evidencenetwork.ca did this week.

Question 2:

Why did wilc2019.ca get 2 bids? No backlink numbers of note, just pure :poop:

Even wilc2019 has enough backlinks to make it attract for SEO purposes. It likely won't get bid up nearly as much as flowr, but wouldn't surprise me if it sells for $150+.

Nothing would surprise me right now, other than these guys making an true profit off their $3K .CA traffic domains.

Back the Wild West days, maybe, but Google is turning more into an online catalog and they are continually adapting to combat this type of behaviour. Google wants you to pay Google for SEO bumps, not buy old domains.

Honestly I don't get the logic of at least 25% of the domains that were picked up today. But what do I know.. I hope no one pays the ridiculous amounts for those which among this 25% has live bidding now. I notice most of them have been assigned already.

I understand lower.ca but not the other, I've sold a number of domains ending in r.

Looking at the results I noticed another unusual pattern.
Of the 17 domains that CD picked in today's drop, the top 3 and the last 2 made it to the auction with multiple bids, where as the picks from 4th to the 15th didn't make it to the auction and were assigned directly. Normally I would imagine that the domains with multiple bids would be stacked up on top. Wired!

Sure, but (as Eby stated earlier) no way I'm spending that type of cash on a misspell, as its current price is entirely being driven by high traffic stats.

If you look at the app store and start ups its one of the most popular misspells because its so brandable and easily trademarked.

The running room franchise has made numerous offers on runr.ca but has not met my price yet.
 
Then I wish you luck winning Flowr.ca at auction, but I'm not going to be fighting with deep-pocketed Traffic Buyers over a domain that would sell for far less if it had zero traffic stats.
