I threw a last minute bid in the $900's range on helicopters but then got distracted by the wife, so I think it went one bid higher and then ended.

I have quite a few aviation based domains, so it would've been a nice fit.

Winning bid was $33,000 for Helicopters.ca

So how does CatchDrop get paid for this one, too big for credit cards?

Well this was sold many years ago for $22,666 USD which is 30K Canadian. 11 years later and it sells for $40,680 CAD taxes included. Not bad.

WHAT? Crap, I guess my screen didn't refresh that number, and once its gone its gone. Was that really the closing price?
Dang, really nice sale then. Shit, it was under $1K at the original auction close time!

Yet if one of us already owned it and put it up for sale, it likely wouldn't get a bid.

I guess a lot can happen when you miss a few minutes of auction!

It can get paid by CC or EMT pretty easily.

If I had to take a guess it is the previous owner who dropped it that picked it back up.

@MapleDots you have to refresh. It ended at $36,000.

I watched it happen live and it closed at 33k, as you can see from my screenshot as it closed, but now I realize I was watching the list of auction domains instead of clicking into it.

Interesting that they don't sync up.

Anyways, I post "happy happy joy joy" because when the catch droppers make money they can invest into newer technology and it will make it better for everyone moving forward.
