I think it was a big surprise all around, and you never can tell when two whales starting fighting over a domain.

Sure, but that was for a .COM owned long before the TM... this one, not so much.

P.S. I cannot believe someone ordered Jigger.ca - sure, it's a word, but it also has two seriously negative racial connotations.

It has a limited shelf life just like twitter.ca had. You can draw quick comparisons....

Today they are called ebikes but the as soon as technology changes and a new term gets coined ebike will no longer be a popular term. With the way things are rapidly changing I would want to move the domain out sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile bike.ca is for sale at dan.com and is the one that will have staying power through all trends.
