At some point, you have to wonder if MyID has so many TBR links that their concurrent requests literally overload the CIRA's system, and someone at .CA HQ should really do an audit to figure out what's going on.

I’ve often wondered if CIRA gets a cut of final sale prices in the TBR. Has it ever been talked about or disclosed before?

I doubt it, as they don't seem to know the end user prices at all, and plus, that extra slice of the pie would put certain registrar's "business plans" in the red. :D

There was a talk at one point that CIRA wanted to handle TBR themselves. I have had a conversation with someone on this. I was totally opposed to it, because that would cause so much confusion among the general public and wouldn't be fair. It will be like NS handling all drops for .Coms, .Nets and .Orgs.

But to hit 6 bulls-eyes in a row with that many queue, is somewhat questionable. Either the programmer there is a genius or something

Of course CIRA is getting a cut. It’s $1000 a year for every drop list connection you have for their TBR. They don’t need a cut in auctions. They get it no matter what.

Exactly, the CIRA is the mining store selling the TBR registrars equipment and claims to go digging for gold.

And that's the way it should be, as the CIRA is supposed to create a healthy and robust .CA environment for businesses and customers.
