Let's get this one started. I have a clear favourite, even though I did not put it on the WHC hotlist. It is:

DankOfCanada.ca :D

Not a good TBR list so far and I may take this week off from bidding. When premium are low-to-nonexistent, wholesale prices get way too high for mid-range domains and paying current prices is not a good long-term investor strategy.

And who let the GoDaddy Lowballers out of their cage? I got 17 sub-$50 bids just this morning, which is probably a record.

It’s already at $75 buyin at Siber ;)

Never.... TBR is crazy.... bigger audience it will bid higher in auction guaranteed

Well there you have it. There is an opening then for a company like WHC to possibly have people submit domains to them and auction them off along with TBR. No reserve just a simple $20 opening bid and a commission to WHC.

That is actually an incredible idea

[notify]FM[/notify] what do you think of that?

[notify]efalcon[/notify] can we get your input?

WHC could be the new dan.com for Canada!!!

It may be a consideration for a future release, we certainly want to provide more aftermarket features and/or integrations. Funny enough I was asked about this specific feature by someone on the phone today.

I have no domains at WHC because there is no domain forwarding

Has that changed?

Not yet. Soon (tm) ;-) We're working on it.

There used to be .CA private auctions all the time back in the day, but the demand dropped a lot so they kinda died out.

And there is no chance any company is going to insert a pile of private domain sales in with the TBR listings, as it would be pure poison for customers.

People like the TBR because it looks "new and fresh".

But imagine a similar auction from private domain names before they expire.
If WHC had that there would be no way for MyID to get a slice of the pie because only the domains uploaded to WHC would be on the auction.

This would be a last ditch effort. $20 min bid….that way current owner can get something potentially rather than nothing.

This in no way would be an auction platform for people to place their generic domains for auction. It would be for those dropping domains to be able to list them and be OK with the fact of getting $20. Otherwise they can drop them as normal….

I second (or third) this - Please make it happen!

I think someone taking on a "soon to expire" .CA marketplace, similar to what Epik has, is a great idea, but please Santa please, do not try jamming a pile of user domains into the TBR auction.

Domain investors have always vocally supported a strict delineation between Expired Domains and Private User Auctions.
