Wow...132?? Seriously and ccfcc.ca the first domain for the week.

Apocalypse confirmed!!!

Crazy, as that's higher than the last 2 weeks and this list was absolute crap. I guess it's more "buying for the sake of buying", which with .CA, is never a good idea.

As for me, for the domain I requested, I have my bid at $20, My Max bid is $20, and it shows the highest bid as $20, yet my status says "Losing". How can it be?? Never a dull moment.

I have had that happen a quite a few times and (I asked Siber the first time it happened) it occurs when two people put the same domain into their cart at $20, and then process the preorder within a few seconds of each other.

The first one to initiate the preorder gets the lead in the auction.

It's actually a smart way to do it, otherwise both orders would fail, which would be a nightmare if you're bidding late.

P.S. If it's the domain I think it is, you can overbid me and I'll be a nice guy and let yours ride to the win. That's assuming there's not THREE of us wedged in there. :D

Very kind of you to be that giving and understanding. Now I will not even bid on it knowing that it’s against you that I am bidding.

I have learned more about the system and appreciate your kind gesture. The fact that it had happened to you many times before erases the doubts I had.

You deserve to own it and thank you again

You guys are lucky this week…I won’t be bidding against you on MYID… :) or maybe I’m the lucky one?

That's very kind of you and I'm glad to help you out on exactly why there are ties at WHC (and used to be at Siber). Made me look twice the first time it happened to me.

I've just got one there (RTF) and I bet that will exceed my budget in no time flat.

BTW, you should increase the length of time before a login session times out. I had my cart full, but I was waiting until the last 3 minutes or so to submit the order so that I don't broadcast my orders that I was hoping would slip under the radar. Then when I went to check-out my cart, it said I had to "sign up for an account". Obviously I got logged out... By the time I got logged back in, back to my cart, hit pay, and entered in the CC security code, it was too late.

In retrospect, it worked out better for me as I got almost all my orders for a cheaper price elsewhere with no auction.

So its a good example of the downside of publishing everyone's orders, you get guys like me who play chicken with the order deadline. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this. So you lost out on a couple hundred bucks worth of minimum orders that I'm sure you would have gotten had I placed the order.

And yeah, please increase the session timeout. Anyone else think its too short?

Yes I do. It has happened to me too a couple of times.

And make the default when you do get logged out the Sign-In screen and not the Create Account one.

I think by now there are far more people signing in to WHC's TBR System than there are those creating brand new accounts.
