Well, Well, Well. The world has changed no doubt overnight but this TBR game hasn't, I believe. So let's go at it again.

Happy you put that in as a Spoiler Eby so you don’t create a mad spike in placing bids  :D

HeHe

Very descriptive domain in a time of war, somehow seems fitting.

Marking that one as hot in 3-2-... never.

Whoa... I just checked out the WHC TBR HotList and it seems that several prior bids are now gone. In fact, only 2 of them remain, and one of those is new.

What's up? Is there now a way to delete active bids or did some deadbeat get rousted?

[notify]FM[/notify]

Too bad I wasn't keeping a close eye on the bids. So I don't know how many were there. If the bids at WHC could be deleted, that would be cause for concern. I don't want to have any assumptions but would like to know how many bids or domains were deleted, after the bids were placed.

At least a few are still showing up at Siber, with the right prices, so it might be a technical glitch.

And [notify]Eby[/notify] I think the ability to remove or adjust TBR bids is a good thing, as I've made mistakes in the past (inputting an old list vs a new adjusted one) and have had to contact support to get it fixed up.

I'm looking into this - we've also just added some new sorting that caused the hot domains to not be displayed at WHC at the moment. If you are still seeing missing bids [notify]DomainRecap[/notify], please email me at frank (at) whc.ca with some examples as that will help with the investigation.

From what I can tell so far, it's that we were filtering all the hot domains from the list temporarily on WHC when we released the new additional filters for hyphens and numbers that we just added. This has been fixed and deployed on our site. Please let me know if you notice anything else.

Thank you for your help.

OMG....

Thank you, thank you, and thank you

That was driving me nuts having to read all those domains I'm not interested in.
The list is massive, now I can remove the domains I do not wish to look at.

Okay... just went through the TBR list and it looks like we have Bauer... and a big pile of junk.

And Bauer scares me more than bit, as sinking a lot of $$$ into that brand looks like a CDRP waiting to happen. The IPO panelists are going to assume anyone in Canada knows about Bauer skates + sports equipment, a truly iconic Canadian company, and as a Canadian resident, it'll be near-impossible to counter any potential bad faith arguments.

Shoot, I've owned a pair of Bauer skates since I was able to walk.

I know there will be a chorus of "but, but, but... Bauer is a last name". Sure, but I've read every CDRP and those panelists give it away like a hooker on crack, so if a panelist can attest (with a straight face) that Assiniboine Credit Union Limited in Winnipeg is a "WELL KNOWN NATIONAL BRAND" (in order to steal away the generic ACU.CA), then this one is a slam-dunk.

I really don't need the hassle and I'd have to be Jack Bauer to buy it, or own a company like Bauer Industries, who held it since 2000 before closing.

P.S. I'm also not a big fan of Eager, another domain on the WHC HotList, as this is a difficult brand when used alone and most businesses would combine it with a second word. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

P.P.S. To the conspiracy nuts in the audience, I guaranteed will NOT be bidding on these two, and will probably just toss a few min-bids in on a couple of lottery tickets and start thinking about next week. Like a forum member stated on here recently, you gotta be very picky on the TBR.

Bauer also has a German meaning.... Builder or to build so if used in a capacity similar to that it could work.

Example.... Bauer Brickworks

Fantastic name for a bricklayer

Personally if it fit my budget I would not shy away from the name.

I wish you all luck in your future endeavors.

I am interested in the end price though, as a lot of PPs will certainly get Gold Fever looking at it.

Didn't see many "A" grade domains.. but I know there could be some worthwhile, like in any drop. So wishing everyone the very best.
