Reading in the TBR section I often hear domainers commenting on the Quality of the TBR drops.

I find it a bit fascinating to talk about this subject because what is a quality TBR session?

1. If we have lots of good domains that means the public does not realize the value in them.

2. If we have lots of poor domains that means the public knows about good domains and are dropping the bad ones.

So really as a domainer there is no such thing as an ideal TBR session because either the public is, or is not, aware of the importance of a good domain name.

There will always be good domains that drop in TBR. It happens in other extensions daily. The fact is we don’t own these domains. Domains drop for many reasons but as much as we think we will own our domains forever. It’s not a reality.

I don't think the public perception has much to so with it, as from my experience, the majority of "great TBR weeks" are the result of:

a) The domain owner passing away

b) The domain owner getting out of domain investing

c) a company or companies just letting a premium domain or domains expire because they rebranded, upgraded, fell asleep, etc.

Some are just weird, with the one that registered all random 2 letter combos followed by mail. I saw a ton of these, and it just seems like such a waste...
