I am with Rogers and I usually get Gigabyte service for anywhere between $55-$85 per month.
How do I get this sweet deal?
Once a year I cancel my service and move to Fido. Fido is a division of Rogers communication and runs on the same network. Most times Rogers calls me before my disconnect and offers me a deal at $85 per month for 1 year.
If I actually disconnect and move to Fido (nothing involved because it is the same network) I will usually get the deal for $55 a month for 1 year.
I have this down pat and am just in the process of cancelling rogers once again. This time I will do it a bit differently and actually disconnect but not return my rogers modem. They usually give you 2 weeks time for that. Once connected with Fido I wait for the inevitable, we are sorry to lose you call and move back to Rogers.
In total doing this saves me about $720 per year on internet.
Only downfall is I have to run on Fido 150 service for about 1 month.
