Start with just the English language and then add every other language, the potential for .com is unlimited.

Just add a few words together and there are still unlimited possibilities in the .com space.

It's a prestige thing to own short and sweet but longer and descriptive makes more sense on the back of cars, mobile signs, billboards, and other type of advertisements.


What works better?

Insurance.com - InsuranceLaw.com - CheapInsuranceLaw.com


If you are in insurance law the 3rd option gives you a forever amount of options.

We won't be seeing a slowdown in the .com space anytime soon!


PS. For one of my businesses I was using .ca's in the same scenario...

LLL.ca

but I also had

WordWordWord.ca

which was 100% descriptive and used on a pilon sign, as a car advertisement and on the mobile signs. Whenever I advertised on stickers, shopping bags, or anywhere else I used the 3 word domain because it said everything there was as the business. For years I forwarded LLL.ca to WordWordWord.ca, it was not until I got very succesfull that I switched that to forwarding WordWordWord.ca to LLL.ca.

Starting out a lot of times the descriptive domain can be a helpful asset.



The domaining industry may dismiss 3 word domains but the reality is they have a distinct purpose and growth is inevitable.
