So in need of a new dishwasher so I decided to visit TheBrick.ca. I do recall visiting this site a while ago but totally forgot about it.

It turns out that TheBrick.ca is a guy based out of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) advertising his masonry business.

What price would you sell this one if you owned it? I’m certain he’s had offers from the appliance superstore over the years regarding it. He also must get a lot of traffic from people like me looking for dishwashers. :)

6 figures + free appliances + furniture + bedroom set

They don't own Brick.ca either.

Never liked The Brick because of their refund policy and customer service.

I would be happy with a dishwasher at this point. :)

lol, that's the son of a major oldtime .ca domainer, Wayne. You can guess why he's decided to take up brick masonry - probably just very side business. A very side business, if I had to guess.

Very “clever” on his part then. Should keep him safe from losing the name via a CDRP.

That's a big mistake, the brick looks at the site, sees a legitimate masonry business and assumes the domain will not be for sale.

Personally I think he would have a better chance to sell it to them if the domain pointed to nothing at all.

But the best way to justify a crazy high price will be if selling it interrupts your business.

Its likely that they get enough traffic and live in a very populated area that after 20+ years of owning the domain and pointing it to this website that they get some actual business out of it, then outsource it to local contractors. Wayne is a real estate agent, so knowing and working with contractors isn't much of a stretch.

LOL I was going to say as a joke this is probably a domainer that has gone to the most extreme lengths ever to protect a domain.

Lambo guy tries to protect his .com by saying it's his forum username.
TheBrick guy says "hold my beer"
-
why didn't the Lambo guy come up with something like this, maybe start a small lamb farm or petting zoo or something? or a deli?
