Canadian Tire Corporation stole this one. It is now used for the triangle rewards program for Canadian Tire, Marks Work Wear House, and Sports Check. Whoever sold that one for 15k should be kicking themselves right about now and this is why I always insist on knowing who the end user is.

PS. I know it was sold a while ago but I figured we could log the sale.

I bet Canadian Tire was in disguise when they purchased it. They probably knew that if the seller knew it was them, he would be asking a lot more. Regardless, they have been using Triangle for a while without the .ca name to go with it so even if Canadian Tire was in disguise, they should have put 2 and 2 together.

I know about the triangle program at Canadian Tire and Marks but don't think before that I associated that word with them. It's the kind of thing where if you had registered the name many years ago, who would have thought it could end up being so valuable to a company? part of the magic in domains. On the surface 15k wouldn't be a bad sale for that name without knowing anything about the buyer or brand program.

Also I'd never heard of the Frank brand before, but now see why frank.ca would be really valuable. My wild guess would be wouldn't Frank Schilling own it? lol

What does anyone think the price should have been for Triangle.ca?

There is a very big canadian tire theme going on around here today...CT Frank Triangle

Hope they don't pay in Canadian Tire money ;-)

CT also owns eflyer.com, for example. I know because I picked up e-flyer.com at one point somehow.
