Why in the world would someone do that?

You have a totally generic first-name that no one can touch, unless you somehow step all over an existing TM....
 
I think it has to do with domainers being so lazy. So difficult to come up with your own unique mark logo….at least he didn’t use the Facebook logo although that may have been better.

Agree, totally idiotic move. And of all the "easy" ways he could have violated the TM, he went ahead and a did a slightly more difficult thing in photoshopping/uploading the logo?

Maybe Mark wants some legal fun and did it on purpose, who knows.
 
Orange font could be argued confusingly similar. I would reconsider the colour choice.

I think he is pushing the envelope on purpose knowing who the best end user is.

Mark's is a poor name compared to Mark and if another company owned it the seller would probably have a chance. Canadian Tire is notoriously cheap in acquiring domain names.
