A few of the Market Places give you insightful information on the prospective client.

When I price domains I will often put a BIN at 10k and then set a minimum bid at 10% or 1k.

Why do I do that when I obviously will not take the 1k?

I do it to see who is interested in the domain and to gather information on the prospective client, then I make notes and follow them up at a future date.

Outbound is great but I prefer to target the audience I already have because unlike a cold call they have already expressed interest in the domain.

What is everyone else doing?

One of my example domains, theoredically I would take about 75k for this in a real negotiation but I keep the "make offer" at 10% of the asking price to engage a prospective client.
