Call Forwarding, Number Parking, Toll Free and Local Numbers from NumberBarn

Rules out ever having a number 1 in the phone number :ROFLMAO:

Seriously though, when is the last time you looked at someones phone number.

Look the company up on google, hit the call button, then add to contacts, next time just hit the name to call.

If I were to make any bets it would be using a domain to call in the future.
Seriously with all the IP phones that makes more sense for advancing technologies.

I do think memorable domains are more valuable, but there is a certain coolness factor in having a nifty phone number. For my own purchase, I couldn't remember the new mobile phone number I was assigned recently (I got a 2nd number via eSIM for my dual SIM iPhone), as it was a horrible combo of digits (although it was in the 416 area code, at least). Browsing through NumberBarn, I found one that was an improvement for under CAD $200, so it was worth grabbing. I was able to buy it and port it to my cell phone provider (to replace the assigned mobile phone number) all within a week.

e.g. 1-833-MARDIAN is available, as a toll-free number:

and there are 7 in local area codes:

If it was a 1-800 , 1-888, or a 416, I'm confident you'd have grabbed it if the price was affordable, for vanity. ;) (I'd probably pass on the current list, but check occasionally for a good area code to become available).

I have a virtual service called Ooma.com and I get two phone numbers and I can assign them at random.

I use one then I hunt for a cool second one, I lock it in and then port it to one of my families cell phones. Once the number ports out I go and assign another one from hundreds on the list and do the process again.

I got some insane cool phone numbers and people always ask me how I got it. Every month Ooma adds hundreds of numbers and I can pick my region. I'm always hunting for the best ones and it is absolutely free.

VOIP.MS is another service where one can park phone numbers (or use them to forward to other numbers, etc.). They're even Canadian (based in Montreal).

I like voip.ms quite a bit and use them as well for some services.
