WHC client area sped up (1 Viewing)

FYI:

For those of you with larger numbers of domains at WHC, one of our great developers took out some time to optimize performance for our WHC (new) client area. We still have some items left to look at on our end, but in my testing the performance for loading the listing of domains has improved quite a bit.

I once developed a database that had very slow access times. Implementing a stored procedure sped it up significantly.

I assume your developer's fix was something similar.

Thank you for the feedback, Wayne. It was mostly optimizing the db queries at this point and a bit more trickery. But we will also see if we can lighten the load on the client side a bit going forward. We're also making some changes to our general infrastructure that can help as well on the systems side.

PS @Wayne : I've passed on your compliments to the hero developer He was happy to hear/read it.

@FM I have a suggestion for when you add a url to domain forwarding, that the nameservers are automatically changed to WHC.

I transferred in a bunch of domains I had at Godaddy over the last few months, and the ones with url forwarding carried over the Godaddy DNS, and I never noticed til I did some transfer checks today. There is some text warning but obviously I missed it, and if it's not an automatic DNS change, then there should be some glaring error message that the url forwarding won't work unless nameservers are changed. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it.
