What happens if a reserve is not met? The domain gets sold to the highest bidder? Or it goes back to the owner and they can then negotiate with the bidders?
The auction gets extended to the online only auction for some extra period of time.

If the high bid is close and the seller wants to just accept it, they can.

Otherwise the auction will end with no sale.

I just realized that you have a singe letter domain for a personal email. That’s awesome! If you don’t mind me asking, did you pay a premium to the registry or was it won from an auction?
I believe it was about double of the normal pricing when I bought it in 1999, but they increased their prices for single letters later, but seem to have honoured my legacy discount on the registry side. I believe in 1999 I could only buy it through the registry directly, they didn't really have many registrars for it it yet.
