SussexRoyal.com upgrade to Sussex.com for the Duke and Duchess (1 Viewing)

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are stepping back from royal duties prior to their move to the United States.

A year prior, they established the SussexRoyal foundation, operating from the domain names SussexRoyal.co.uk and SussexRoyal.com.

As of yesterday, the ex-royals moved to the shorter, sexier Sussex.com. Registered way back in 1995, the domain name appears to have been acquired from its previous registrant, Florida-based Four Gates LLC, some time in 2023. It was moved to British nameservers just two days ago, being launched officially today.

Whats interesting here is that the name was registered in 1995 and usedin commerce for years. It took over 25 years for it to become an insane asset.

Goes to show that incredible domains will eventually hit pay dirt if you hang on to them.
