Update: Thanks to Brad in the comments it appears the company does not own the domain name but was leasing it. So this makes some sense as they might not be able to ever own the domain name.

It was reported sold in 2018 for 1.2M. So maybe they did own it?

Yeah I was thinking that maybe they did own it, and recently sold the domain for big bucks, so they are now shifting away from it.

I think they got an offer they couldn't refuse on Super.com and took the money and ran.
