Well, it would be another "Restricted Name Release Week" and more money out the window.
The Registrars must be having a hell of a time!! May be not everyone.. just a handful I believe.

Before everyone goes crazy bidding on lol.ca ask yourself how you can use it in commerce and how many businesses can use lol.ca as a viable business website.

As nice as that domain is you may be sitting on an expensive purchase for quite a while... just something to consider.

There has been a LOT of those "you might own it for life" expensive TBR auction domains, and they haven't listened so far so it's doubtful anything will change in the near future.

Personally, I am looking forward to the "Restricted Domain Mania" to die down and for reality to hit home, as lately the TBR is becoming a lot like work.

I have a feeling there will be more of them in the future

After the Restricted Domains stop flowing onto the list? Highly doubtful as this is the common "Low-Hanging Fruit" phenomenon, whereby every Tom, Dick and Harry hears about this and floods onto the market parsing through a tiny list of CIRA releases each week and running up against other speculators at auction.

It's like the CIRA is tossing Pokemon cards out on the highway and then watching the kids try to dodge the cars to pick them up. Once the CIRA stops doing this, the kids (those that are left anyway) move onto other equally-intellectual pursuits.

So once CIRA is no longer filling the tree with this kind of easy-to-find TBR domain fruit, it's not quite so attractive to the fly-by-night crowd and they'll quickly find something else sparkly to catch their attention. Plus, I think most of them have figured out this is not an immediate "Get Rich" scheme and things will probably cool down by March.
