It looks like the system was not displaying the correct info, as you had a higher bid on Synergie.ca, but it somehow showed me as the higher bidder.

Oh well, I just wanted to know what was up.

No one bought Warranty as it's primed for a big auction at WHC.

I increased my bid from $50 to $75 near the end, and my bid must have predated yours, which was also for 75. Since the bidding window closed, the earlier bid wins the tie.

Oh I know what now, but that's not what my TBR screen showed. We must have really hit the bid button very close together and it cooked the info display, which likely freezes (correct or incorrect) at 1:45PM.

Tom told me what happened and congrats on the win.

No. It's doing what it is supposed to... just a bad design decision. It's showing sale price. which was $50 before your bid, and $75 after your bid. You never had the the high bid. And the sale price didn't change when Rob's $75 bid came in, so it doesn't display in the log you see.

No. It doesn't freeze. You're misreading an admittedly badly phrased message about your own bids. "You have a higher bid", is referring to your own bids, not the state of the auction. And I'll change the message to be "You already have this bid or a higher bid" (done).

There is no rule to WHC preorders - any domain won at TBR with at least 2 bids will always go to open auction. Once you get to auction there is a 3-minute rule to extend.

The only way to win a domain at WHC is to be the only bidder.

I’m a bit unfamiliar with the WHC auction platform as I just started with .ca domains. Been more into .com on GoDaddy auctions. What other platforms would the bids for .ca domains happen before the drop?

If you were the high bidder on Actuary at Dot-ca/Burmac then you would be the winner as they operate on a BIN format.

With Lashes and the timestamp that CatchDrop won it at, I highly doubt you were the only bidder there.
