Anguilla fears the .ai junk drop (2.Viewing)

They may temporarily use the .ai extension because it is explains what they do and its all the marketing rage, but once everything has AI built into it, the .AI will lose its meaning and fade into oblivion.

Almost word for what what I have been saying

These are people like me heavily invested in .com predicting that .ai will not have an effect on .com.
They are wrong, the .AI effect is here to stay and offers companies a reasonable alternative to the .com that is taken.
companies don't complain about $140 for 2 years on a domain name, only domainers do.
.AI has definitely changed the space we play in.

in the end the market will decide. I tend to agree with those who say that once everything has AI built into it, then the term AI becomes redundant, but that is likely still years away. In the meantime those with good and great .ai domain have been making some good revenues on the back of the rise of AI, so good for them for spotting a huge trend and taking advantage. The .ai extension is a great fit for pure AI companies, and many will get the matching .com at some point, IF it is even available.
