No value in a short .ca? (12.Viewing)

I think realtors have them beat!

Actually, to be fair, I do have at least a handful of 5 figure .CA sales to realtor & real-state related projects, including brokering one deal. I can only think of one domain I've sold to an accountant and it was only 4 figs.

I guess the most accurate statement would be, 99.9% of realtors are cheap-as-%#@&. The few who get it, get it. And they're also the ones who dominate their market. One of my sales was properly.ca - you probably saw the commercials on tv, had those twin brother dudes, and the buyers made a tidy 8 figure exit just a few years later.

When I see a LLLL.ca sell with good letters, over the years, some have been in the $10,000 range.

They can easily go 5 figures, but it really depends on the letters. If they're crappy, I probably wouldn't have invested in it anyways, but for good ones with multiple potential buyers (not a completely unique usage situation), then definitely 5 figures. But as it is with all decent domains, it all boils down to how desperate the seller is to make a sale. 20 years ago I owned a bunch that matched radio station call signs, i.e. wkrp or whatever. Never sold a one. I'm pretty sure I've let most or all of those drop. Radio stations don't care, they can freely advertise their own domain all they want, even a bad domain. So their attitude is that it just doesn't matter to them. So unless someone else has had better luck with those than I've had, I would recommend against buying those.
