Just like me, he focuses on what his (startup founder and marketing exec) clients want, which most of the time is going to be .com, or .ai (while that is still trendy), or .co, or .io ... I love it when a client asks me about helping them get a .CA, but sadly it's super rare. :+(
Totally agree.. But you forgot another thing.. Canadian businesses are too cheap to even think that premium domains are more than the registration cost. Recently I was approached by a company that says they help in "Inter-generational Transition of a Family Enterprise" or simply said - "succession planning".
They operate in Canada but have a lousy .COM that no one on earth can type out correctly the first time, except the Founders and/or the staff - may be. They wanted an LL and wouldn't make a reasonable five figure offer. We find LL's fetching mid four figures in TBR.
They claim to be in existence for close to 30 years and have a combined experience of over 100 years. But couldn't make up their mind to purchase a LL.ca for a very reasonable 5 fig, instead registered a domain for $17 they said.
