TBR Drop - Jun 4, 2025 (1.Viewing)

Wasn't me. However, I did pick up a domain for under $200 that I had previously sold for $9K, and relatively recently too. So I was happy with today's results.

I'm guessing detachedhomes.ca.

Against all my advice to other members I did pick up one domain in .com with NFT in the name a number of years back.
Paid almost 5k and am about to drop it.

It hurts when one makes a mistake so it's good to pick up someone else's mistake once in a while.

:eek::eek:

Thankfully I'm genetically hype-proof and while I've taken a lot of hate for my comments on NFTs (as well as back to Cabbage Patch Kids, Pogs, Happy Meal Toys, 90's comics, and Beanie Babies) it's been quite good for my finances.

What Are Your Thoughts on NFT and Web3 Domains?

Love my first reply, which was pretty on-the-money if I do say so myself.

I really do not understand the mentality of buying the hype of an ultimately overproduced and valueless item - it's got to be some kind of mass hysteria that some personality types are susceptible to, but it's quite strange to watch otherwise-rational people pour money junk like this.

It's a similar feeling to when a doctor friend of mine came over to visit and started trying to sell me on an MLM. I'm like... WTF? You went to medical school buddy and you're falling for this crap? And even worse, he looked at me like I was crazy.
