TBR Drop - Jun 11, 2025 (1.Viewing)

Someone had put in a Proxy Bid over $1000 for Deco.ca (and they won it for $950), another bidder just kept clicking to accelerate the climb to $950 - and then they stopped not wanting to pay more

Sure, but he was bidding like a madman - click, click, click. click, click.

It was like watching the numbers on a gas pump.

So in 23 seconds, it jumped from $295 to $950 - that's a pretty good clip for a WHC auction. And with the inherent delays I probably saw the numbers on my screen change over about 5-7 seconds when it was all over - or maybe even less.

Question is who was bidder #16 and why stop at such a low number, we all know the domain is worth more.

Worth more if you're an end user for sure, but for resellers I'm not sure it's the right thing to be spending thousands on something that isn't even a dictionary word (it's a short form for Art Deco).

I like Decor.ca better

Me too and decor was a killer domain that sold for just under $1500 I think. I was either second bidder or pretty close.

From an investment standpoint, I'd much rather plunk down $1500 on Decor than $950 on Deco, but that's just me.

I agree on all points. It was $1455 to be exact, pre-tax.
