I have an expiring .COM domain which hit grace at WHC

Have noticed for a while that they are monetizing the .com traffic on grace domains, as you can see on the image above.

When I hovered over the Privacy Policy link I got the address: skenzo.com/sk-privacy.php

I followed that to: skenzo.com and got this:

So it appears unlike on .ca's the registrars are monetizing grace domains for their traffic.

Big Question here is.... Is Skenzo.com paying out more than Bodis or similar domain parking services?

Before anyone goes to register MapleLeaks.com....

Yes I did renew it, I did drop the .ca hoping someone would pick it up and put it to use, which is exactly what happened.

Thus the drop of the .ca may bring value to the .com

By the way... the .ca is being used exactly what I thought the domain should be used for.

This has been happening for a long time. May be it's not that they pay more, could it be because others don't indulge in it??
Registrants being screwed by Registrars/Parking companies, has been like the old profession. Can't stop it.

Not sure if I would say anyone is being screwed, the domain is in grace and after the expiry date, the registrant technically gives up all rights at expiry. The fact that a grace even exists still amazes me. As domains become more valuable I can see grace and redemption probably going away. I mean in reality expired is expired, that is why we have so much auction crap with losing the domain after the auction has concluded.

Do I like grace and redemption, of course, from a domainers perspective it's great... except we bitch like hell when we are on the other end.

I had to first study the Life Cycle of a Domain, before I started domaining. So the grace/redemption has been there from the start.
And I am aware of the difference in the .CA space when it comes to Grace/Redemption which Registrars have a say about when and how to implement it. I think bmetal @bmetal is the most gracious of all in this space.
