OMG it's a limited choice but if there was an alternate I would pick .org
Staying within the poll I would pick .xyz simply because it does not tie you down to a sector. Regardless of what anyone says .net still stands for network and .xyz implies nothing and leaves an open field.
Both are limited in my opinion but if I had to pick that is my answer

Depends on the price - remember there are lots of XYZ domains with registry premium prices and renewals.
And with a domain only available in those two TLDs, you can be almost certain it's a premium.
