CANADA HEADS FOR RECESSION! - Are you feeling it in domains? (2.Viewing)

Look at these fine fellows that the Liberals welcomed with open arms:

And let's not even get into the 12-year old who was arrested (while out on bail) for shooting someone, and then was immediately granted bail again:

This country is a $#%&@ mess, and it's leading to fear, anger and distrust in the Liberal government, which always has an adverse effect on the economy.

When the state cannot or (in the case of the Liberals) will not protect its citizen's lives and property, capitalism does not work.

It should have been bad enough last election for the Liberals to get booted out, but there are still too many complacent Canadians.

At this point I wonder how bad does it have to get for enough Canadians to put them out of leadership. They are a minority government so all it will take is enough public backlash for the other parties to become emboldened enough to have a no confidence vote - similar to the public backlash that got Trudeau forced out. A minority government is always on thin ice, and to comeback a second time after getting past the Trudeau debacle that almost put them out would be even too much for the Liberals to do.

It will either be for reasons like crime and too high and loose immigration numbers that let in too many violent or criminal types, or it will be the economy going in the toilet, the debt and deficits getting larger and larger - higher taxes and fees that the public is expected to burden - and the Canadian dollar losing more value so everything costs more. Maybe throw rising inflation in there. It is sad that is seems to have to get worse for enough of the public to demand a change, but maybe there are enough boomers with secure retirements, and people who benefit from the social handouts, to keep the balance. I'm afraid the longer it goes on the worse it will get in the end.

The last election was the time to 'right the ship' and I think we've gone past the tipping point where Canada is pretty well toast. Four more years of Liberal rule will absolutely burn this country to the ground.

All the Liberal election promises were quickly exposed as lies, and Carney has only been in power for only about 7 months, yet nothing has changed. In fact, Carney already has blown past some of Trudeau's record migration and foreign worker numbers and he looks like he's only getting started.

I was actually thinking that at this point, joining the US (each province + the East Cast as a state) would be a viable solution to our current Liberal tyranny. That's how bad things are, and an indication of how much worse the situation will become over the next few years.

Well put, it was the time to right the ship and instead we're going beyond.

It's funny how Carney is still bent on climate issues, yet all he has done since becoming PM is multiple jet trips over the globe to visit other countries.

Joining the US as some kind of territory or special zone that would allow us to keep our gun laws is actually something to think about, but adopting US gun laws is not something I'd want for Canada. I'd prefer the Liberals to eventually get thrown out of office and sanity to be restored, which I think will come in less than 4 years.

You'd think so, wouldn't you.

But another 4 years of mass immigration and flooding Canada with foreign workers (along with new, laxer citizen requirements) is going to totally change Canada, and as you probably know, stats confirm that the vast majority of new immigrant citizens vote Liberal. At least for awhile, until they figure out the scam. But by then, the Liberals will churned in a few million more to bump the numbers back in their favor.

Second-generation and first-generation immigrants more likely to favour the Liberals than the Conservatives, dead heat among those with weak or no connection to immigration. (CTV News/ Globe and Mail/ Nanos) – Nanos Research

Immigrants to 2nd-generation Canadians more likely to favour Liberals, poll finds

The entire Liberal ideology is just a basic power play to maintain their stranglehold on Canada, and it seems to be working so far.

In another 4 years it'll be the exact same story and they'll somehow get re-elected. Look at this recent election - initially, almost no one thought the PCs would lose, but they somehow did, even with the stink of Trudeau still heavy in the air. With the Liberals constantly churning new voters, why would it be any different next time.

According to the UN, Canada is now a major growth area for child brides and bigamy/polygamy, and it's only getting worse by the day.

The Liberals don't care and there is virtually no enforcement or press covering this law-breaking behaviour. There was a FB post advertising "Child Brides" (in Punjabi) on a telephone pole in Brampton and it wasn't the only one. There are also wealthy, well-connected people in Canada who immigrated here with multiple wives and that was a-okay with Trudeau and Carney.

In fact, there have been many attempts to get these laws repealed (due to "religious freedoms") but so far, the Supreme Court has held fast, but it's easy to see that changing in the future as our population base radically changes.

There are also many, many cases of new immigrants getting caught with underage girls and child porn, and are let off scot-free due to their immigration status and the Liberal-created law that allows judges to dismiss charges against non-citizens, so as not to harm their chances of gaining citizenship. Kinda backwards, as perps like this are ones we'd want to get rid of - but as we all know, criminals vote Liberal.

If you went into a coma tomorrow and it lasted 10 years, then you suddenly woke up in Canada circa 2035, you would not even recognize it. You would think you were having a nightmare.

And here's the end result of Canadian companies like Canadian Tire, hiring cheap, low (or no) skill workers to fill positions that they are clearly not qualified for:

A Canadian Tire customer in Newfoundland says a routine oil change led to a highway emergency, after staff replaced bolts with plastic zip ties to hold a key part of his car together.

We're all going to die!

to hold a key part of his car together.

In a former life I was an auto mechanic

That is hardly a key part that holds the car together it's simply a skid plate and the clips/washer/bolts/brackets often break, The danger here would have been driving over it, which would have been unlikely because it's between the tires but definitely a road hazard to the person following behind.

I agree wit DomainRecap @DomainRecap with his point but disagree with CBC calling it a key part that holds the car together.

It fell off while he was driving on the highway and caused him to drive into the ditch. It may not be key like an engine, but shit flying off your car and you potentially driving over it, is pretty unnerving, especially at high speeds.

I was once in a car with a guy who just got his tires changed and suddenly a tire flew out ahead of us.. we looked around but were the only ones on the road, so we figured we were driving on 3 tires. Scary stuff to have things suddenly fly off your car on the highway due to gross incompetence.

I'd be betting these guys did the repair:

I've been in Canada 25 years now. One thing I learned early on after moving here quickly is not to have them service your car at Canadian Tire. Ever. I don't think I even tried going there once.

as usual, the media serving up click bait...

What's really weird is that CT has admitted fault so why isn't some ambulance chaser looking for a higher settlement than "you pay for the repair and we promise to pay you back"?

Just because the incident on the highway caused him to drive into the ditch, and was thankfully not injured, doesn't mean the situation wasn't dangerous and that CT should get off scot free.
