Hello everyone,

I think this is the longest gap I’ve taken in between two posts but I’m sure this will come as a surprise to many of my fellow domain investors that I’m leaving Afternic.com

As many of my readers know that since January 2020, I’ve been using Afternic.com price request lander. It’s been almost 6 years using them and I had an overall great experience. With all the challenges and ups and downs including economic crisis and uncertainty in global market due to wars, I still had many extra ordinary months with the help of Afternic team. It was really nice working with so many Afternic brokers and especially my rep Adam Ramsdell who did all his best he could to get the maximum sales out of my portfolio. I sincerely appreciate Adam and the entire team whoever was involved in getting the sales happen smoothly.

There are two main reasons for leaving Afternic:

  1. I’m no longer interested in paying any commission.
  2. Like the way I opted Afternic from Uniregistry, now I would like to prefer handling and managing the portfolio and leads myself.

Timely message. I'm in the process of going thru Sedo and Afternic to change the status to "offers." Brokers will be told to collect
their commission on top of any offers.
Although, I was pleased yesterday when Sedo showed up with a buy now $2500 sale of a hyphenated domain that I never expected to sell.
I still own the plural, but it wasn't worth marketing them. I don't know why I hang on to stuff like that...just call me Mr Packrat!
 

Moved all domains to NamePros lander​

Hello everyone,

After moving all my domains to Efty.com, except the 3L .com for which I’m using DaaZ.com lander, I’ve moved all of them to NamePros lander. One of the domains you may check is Beechtree.com

I tried Efty lander for a little over a month and it was a good experience. But because I wanted to try and see which one works well, I’m now trying NamePros lander. Efty provided great support especially Doron who did his best to guide and explain anything I needed, they’ve got plenty of nice features and lander options to choose from. They even have Smart Landers to create your own. I even used EftyPay but unfortunately I cannot disclose any details about the domain name but it was a surprising sale. Doron helped in settling this transaction very smoothly and professionally for which I’m very much thankful for him and his services.

Abdul is very much like me experimenting with new landers all the time to see what works best.

I find a mix of landers works for me for my .com, .net, .org etc

However for my .CA landers nothing works better for me than my own landers. I control things from start to finish. I get the customer information and I can negotiate currency. Often instead of a discount I simply state CAD which is a discount in itself.

It's an excellent looking lander but a couple of things I'm not crazy about...

1. The report link at the bottom, something about it sits wrong with me and I would not want it on my lander.

2. I think there are too many logos on the left with the Sedo and daaz being too big. Once you add the Visa & Escrow logos on the right I think the page has too many logos.

Other than that it's an excellent looking lander and we will see if he decides to stick with them.
 
The only problem I have with the NP lander system is that there is no enforceable minimum bid, so Abdul better be prepared for his NP Dashboard to fill up with vagrants, hobos and lowballers.
