OpusDNS Has Landed - How a Team Built By Two Industry Pioneers Plans to Disrupt the Domain Reselling Business
When you go to a domain conference you will see the names of the top sponsors at every turn. In almost all cases, they are companies that are already well-known within the industry but ones that also know that kind of visibility conveys financial strength and increases trust in the service provider's ability to deliver on their promises. So, when I arrived at the 2024 NamesCon Global conference in Austin, Texas almost a year and a half ago, I was intrigued by a massive banner for a company called OpusDNS that stretched across the entire second deck of the Omni Hotel where the event was held. The biggest surprise was yet to come because the company didn't officially launch for another 16 months - finally arriving on October 1, 2025!

But are they confusingly similar?

I would think that question is for TM case, not a UDRP. A UDRP is very specific and I don't think this even remotely qualifies. It would be like one HVAC company calling itself Heat Solutions and another (owned by Joe Heath) calling itself Heath Solutions. In a UDRP, it would never win, either way.

And plus, we should all assume that the lawyers for OpusDNS have dotted their i's and crossed their t's.
