I recently upgraded my Username with the X Handles marketplace (FirstnameLastname to just Firstname). Someone else had my name before on an inactive account (Anne Geesen aka AGeesen). It's kind of dumb they don't forward the old username to the new one....

It actually doesn’t make sense that they don’t forward the links.

I spotted the same issue with the Lovable team (including the CEO). They still had the old handle on their profiles, even though they moved to a new handle. No redirect.

It seems that Twitter hasn’t fixed it, and it’s been about a month or so.
