Did you figure that out before or after you made the offer? :)

It's funny how familiarity influences decisions, I often look at some of my dropped domains fondly knowing they will probably never sell but still having some sort of attachment.

yeah, I've known, and I've actually talked to Dan about the domain over the years since then. I knew he'd said he'd had some offers in the same ballpark, but never an actual good end-user type offer. I just figured it still had some potential.
