If you’re having a tough time visiting some domain name industry websites today, you’re note alone. I was checking on something at Atom.com this morning, and I saw this Cloudflare Internal server error message at the top.

Yes the internet seems broken this morning, a lot of my favourite news sites are down, X.com is not loading, so for curiosity I visited namepros and got an error there as well.

Guess who was not down?

DN.ca was up and running, we run independent of cloudflare other than to check for login spam but I am thinking of switching that back to google captcha anyways because of how unreliable cloudflare has been of late.

Take down Cloudflare & AWS and you take half the internet down.

Not DN.ca, we have a totally independent network in Toronto, everything is hosted in Canada with daily cloud backup, we can restore from multiple backups if anything untoward should occur.

Mind sharing who you're hosting with? WHC?

I removed cloudflare from login, registration, and contact form and went to Google Captcha v2 instead, it's much quicker and no down time.

It was the only part of cloudflare we used but I just realized when down nobody can register or use system forms and that is not acceptable.

PS. X.com is still not fully up and properly embedding as of this post.

On a side note, I play a game with my Daughter at Angle.wtf (the only domain name I know at .WTF). It was also down at 7:09 this morning.

I believe many sites will be reconsidering their options as of today!
