Most people don't know that because it isn't trueNameBio was founded on November 15, 2006 by Justin Allen (aka Spade). Then Adam bought it from him in 2011 (not 2009) and ran it with the McKegney brothers of DomainAgents fame for a few years.
In late 2014 I (Michael) noticed that several months had passed with all the data feeds being broken. Not wanting to see my favorite site go away, I reached out to Adam and asked if I could take over development and rebuild it from scratch.
I've spent the past 11 years and counting, working seven days a week without a single day off, growing it from a couple hundred thousand sales records to more than 6 million. Approximately 95% of the data we have today was added during my tenure.
Many people deserve thanks for their contributions these past 19 years; including Justin for founding it and Adam, Ryan, and Phil for keeping it afloat.
And as your multiple recent odes to Ron Jackson correctly noted, he pioneered the tracking and charting of domain sales in the first place.
I'm looking forward to NameBio turning 20 next year, and I'm honored that I could be a part of it for so long.
