.io sold because the price was too high for .com's
The .ai has no precedence, it remains to be seen if it has momentum in 1-2 years

One problem is the registration/renewal fee for .AI is like 8x .COM.

So, even if the STR is 4x .COM the carrying costs are a major factor.

There is no doubt that .AI domains have become popular, but at this point the initial cost is high and holding costs are high.

Once the AI companies have their domains most of the unused ones will start to drop because of renewal rates. A domainer with 200 .AI domains will only renew for so long as soon as the demand drops so will the unused domains.

The great .AI drop is coming, it will probably happen in the next 1-2 years because the top 5 AI companies will dominate the industry.
How many search companies are there? Same will eventually apply for AI
