A New Twitter With the Actual “Twitter” Name Could Be Coming Soon… (1.Viewing)

A New #Twitter With the Actual “Twitter” Name Could Be Coming Soon…

For the first time since the rebrand to X, the Twitter name itself may be on its way back, and not through Elon Musk.

After renaming Twitter to X, removing the bird logo, deleting the brand from products and marketing, and migrating everything to X com, Musk also allowed multiple Twitter and Tweet trademarks to expire.

More than 2 years ago, he publicly declared that the Twitter brand was finished. Since then, nothing has been done to revive it.

Now a US company called Operation Bluebird has officially filed a request with the US Patent Office to cancel the remaining Twitter trademarks.

Their goal is clear:
To relaunch an entirely new platform under the original name “Twitter”, using the domain twitter new.

Their legal argument is simple and powerful:
If a company stops using a brand commercially and shows no intent to bring it back, the trademark can be considered legally abandoned.

Even independent trademark experts quoted by Reuters agree that X may struggle to defend the Twitter brand in court, because Musk’s actions clearly show he walked away from it.

In other words:
This wasn’t just a rebrand.
Musk abandoned one of the strongest social media brands in history.
What a businessman....

Now someone else is moving in to take it.

Whether this turns into a serious competitor or just a symbolic resurrection is still unknown. But one thing is already clear:

The name “Twitter” may soon live again, without Musk.

And if this new platform truly revives Twitter as an open, neutral public square, it could become a healthy alternative to the propaganda machine X has increasingly turned into under Musk.

A place where algorithms don’t serve political agendas first, where reach isn’t dictated by loyalty to one owner’s worldview, and where public discourse isn’t constantly tilted by one billionaire’s interests.

Maybe we could even dare to dream and start again from zero.

Without all the scammers, extractors, and the accounts full of hate and lies. Who knows.
