Nobody can take ANY extension with the single word GOOGLE because google would most assuredly win any UDRP with all the trademarks they own.
So since google owns the .ca, the .de etc it does not mean they are going out full bore on the .si extension, instead it simply means they own it like many more.
Now... the Google.ai extension it's fully in use.
